Job Description

The Industrial Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This role is critical to supporting production equipment, machinery, and facility electrical infrastructure within a fast-paced industrial environment.

Job Description:

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems including motors, MCCs, VFDs, PLCs, and control panels
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues using schematics, drawings, and diagnostic tools
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and support operational reliability
  • Install, terminate, and maintain conduit, cable trays, wiring, and electrical components
  • Read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
  • Test electrical systems to verify proper operation and compliance
  • Ensure all work meets NEC, OSHA, and company safety standards
  • Strictly follow lockout/tagout and all safety procedures
  • Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to support production needs
  • Document work performed, inspections, and maintenance activities accurately
  • Support equipment upgrades, modifications, and new installations as required

Requirements

  • Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program or technical training
  • Valid electrician license or certification, as required
  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial electrical experience
  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Working knowledge of NEC and OSHA regulations
  • PLC troubleshooting and diagnostics experience
  • Background in heavy industrial, manufacturing, or oil & gas environments
  • Experience working with 480V systems and higher
  • Equipment operation or safety-related certifications
  • Ability to work safely in industrial environments
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and around energized equipment
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on an on-call basis as needed
