The Order Picker Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating powered industrial equipment—including order picker (cherry picker) forklifts, reach trucks, and sit-down forklifts—to move, store, pick, and stage products throughout the warehouse. This role supports daily order fulfillment, receiving, inventory movement, and overall warehouse operations in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate order picker forklifts, reach trucks, and sit-down forklifts to pick orders, load and unload trailers, and transport materials within the warehouse.
• Verify and receive materials into inventory systems.
• Pick, stage, and store products in accordance with established procedures and safety standards.
• Perform palletizing, shrink wrapping, and preparation of materials for shipment.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections on equipment to ensure proper and safe functioning.
• Follow all OSHA and internal safety regulations when operating powered equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Assist with general warehouse tasks such as scanning, labeling, restocking, and material movement.
• Work in various warehouse environments, which may include refrigerated or freezer areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of recent experience operating:
  • Order picker (cherry picker) forklift
  • Reach truck
  • Sit-down forklift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work overtime or weekends when required.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Commitment to following all safety guidelines and procedures.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with RF scanners or warehouse inventory systems.
• Knowledge of pallet racking systems and safe lifting practices.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced distribution and logistics setting.
• May require working in ambient, refrigerated, or freezer conditions.
• Requires consistent use of PPE and adherence to all safety protocols.
