Responsibilities
What you will do: - Verify Eligibility: Contact insurance providers to confirm patient benefits and coverage for procedures, tests, and surgeries.
- Secure Authorizations: Obtain necessary pre-certifications and authorizations before medical treatments are performed.
- Data Integrity: Accurately update patient records and insurance details in our internal systems.
- Collaborative Communication: Coordinate with providers, insurers, and internal billing teams to ensure a smooth reimbursement process.
- Maintain Compliance: Uphold strict HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and data security.
What you need: - Expertise: 2+ years of experience in Insurance Verification or Medical Billing with a strong command of insurance plans and medical terminology.
- Precision: Exceptional attention to detail and data entry accuracy for maintaining flawless patient records.
- Communication: strong interpersonal skills for professional daily interaction with insurance carriers, clinical staff, and patients.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive ability to navigate coverage discrepancies and authorization hurdles independently.
- Medical Authorizations experience (Required)
