Our client is seeking an experienced Event Coordinator for a direct hire opportunity in Virginia Beach, VA. This role is ideal for a polished, detail-oriented professional who enjoys planning and executing high-impact business events, executive meetings, leadership summits, client programs, annual conferences, and multi-day conventions.

The Event Coordinator will play a key role in delivering professional, well-organized events that reflect strong brand standards and business objectives. Key Responsibilities

- Plan, coordinate, and execute mid-size to large-scale corporate events, including conferences, executive meetings, leadership summits, client events, and conventions.
- Manage venue selection, event timelines, registration details, marketing materials, logistics, and on-site event execution.
- Negotiate contracts, coordinate vendors, monitor event budgets, and ensure services are delivered according to expectations.
- Partner with internal departments, senior leadership, and external stakeholders to align each event with business goals and brand standards.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, risk management requirements, and event-related procedures.
- Prepare post-event reporting, evaluate event outcomes, and recommend improvements for future programs.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $53,000 to $60,000 per year.
- Job type: Direct hire/Temporary.

- Lead end-to-end planning and execution for corporate meetings, business events, and professional conferences.
- Manage event budgets, vendor relationships, timelines, logistics, and on-site coordination.
- Support executive-level stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Develop registration materials, event communications, reporting, and attendee experience plans.

- 3 to 5 years of experience coordinating corporate meetings, conferences, or professional events.
- Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills.
- Experience with venue coordination, contract negotiation, vendor management, and budget oversight.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and event management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional, service-oriented approach.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems quickly, and maintain composure during high-visibility events.
- Willingness to travel several times per year for event execution and support.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting executive meetings, leadership events, client-facing programs, or multi-day conventions.
- Background in hospitality, corporate events, property management, real estate, or a related professional services environment.
- Familiarity with event registration platforms, attendee management tools, and post-event reporting processes.
- Demonstrated ability to represent an organization professionally with senior leaders, vendors, and external partners.
