Job Description
Job Summary:
- Hybrid W2 opportunity; must be local
- Requires financial domain/banking experience
Project Overview:
- Responsible for a data platform integrating with client's online banking (handling critical data like account balances, credit card balances)
- Ensures business continuity by minimizing disruptions during application/configuration changes
- Addressing security risks in Cassandra DB identified during an ongoing audit
- Migrating platform from on-premises to Azure by Q2 2026 (Yugabyte migration also under consideration)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and automate CI/CD pipelines
- Use Ansible & AWX for operational automation (e.g., updating configs, DB backups)
- Use Jenkins & Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and deployments (including provisioning new Cassandra clusters)
- Implement observability and monitoring alerts using Prometheus & Grafana
Required Skills:
- Python for pipeline automation
- Experience with Ansible, Jenkins, and Terraform
- Experience deploying to cloud platforms (Azure strongly preferred, others considered)
- Familiarity with Prometheus & Grafana for monitoring
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with databases (Cassandra is a major plus)
- Ability to create alerts/dashboards for incidents and interpret DB metrics
- Prior financial industry experience
