The Electrical Products (EP) Business Unit offers a full range of low-voltage power distribution and control products that deliver safe, reliable, and efficient electrical solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial markets. 

We are looking for a Busway Drafter to join our team! This position will be based at our Roebuck, SC manufacturing plant.

The Busway Drafter position is responsible for completing semi-complex design models & drawings for customer approval & installation of Busway. The candidate will report to the Engineering Supervisor and will have no direct reports.

You will make an impact by :

• Collaborating with the Order Management & Engineering teams to review and interpret customer design requirements for busway electrical distribution systems.
• Create customer approval drawings based on customer & system requirements.
• Learn and apply knowledge of Siemens products and processes to determine an Itemized bill of materials of the busway system.
• Work and communicate in a team driven environment.
• Create the record layout drawing and itemized list for use in customer installation.
• Prioritize workload independently for effective time management.
• Participate in onsite visitations to help customers design and/or troubleshoot busway system layout.

Basic Qualifications

• Associates Technical Degree
• Experience with 2D and 3D modeling
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office applications).
• Ability to work in a hybrid office / remote environment
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer - sponsored work authorization

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience with Electrical Products such as Busway, Panels and/or Switchboards
• SAP Experience
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• 3D Revit experience
