Description / Responsibilities / Skills

Must Have

Hands-on experience working with FHIR standards including resource modeling and FHIR APIs

Experience with Agile project methodology leveraging Azure DevOps

Experience transforming data requirements into detailed user stories

Experience working closely with technical teams to communicate, clarify and validate requirements

Experience using Databricks and writing SQL queries

Experience in data analysis and source-to-target mapping, specifically mapping relational systems to FHIR

Experience creating JSON files and using Postman

Description

Responsibilities

  • Provide business analysis services for I and IT initiatives
  • Engage stakeholders and SMEs to gather and document business requirements
  • Support requirements elicitation, analysis, specification and validation
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements and user stories
  • Perform data analysis and source-to-target mapping for healthcare data transformation
  • Support mapping from relational systems to FHIR-compliant structures
  • Collaborate with developers, architects and stakeholders
  • Assist in backlog grooming and sprint planning
  • Support documentation such as user stories, use cases, business rules and workflows
  • Participate in testing activities including validation and defect resolution
  • Monitor progress, resolve issues and report status to technical teams
  • Assist with knowledge transfer and documentation handover

Skills

Experience and Skill Set Requirements

General Skills 40 percent

  • Experience working on digital or enterprise system implementations
  • Experience with Agile methodology and backlog management
  • Experience writing user stories and grooming backlog items
  • Ability to support product owner and stakeholders in defining requirements
  • Ability to act as proxy product owner when required
  • Experience conducting requirements gathering through sessions, interviews and workshops
  • Experience in business process modeling and use case development
  • Strong documentation skills using CASE tools and structured methodologies
  • Ability to monitor progress and communicate effectively
  • Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines

Technical Knowledge and Expertise 60 percent

  • 1+ years hands-on experience working with FHIR standards and APIs
  • Understanding of HL7 FHIR resources and implementation guides
  • Experience performing API testing and validation using Postman
  • Experience working with JSON data structures
  • Experience using Databricks and writing SQL queries
  • Experience performing data analysis and data transformation
  • Experience mapping data between systems (source-to-target mapping)
  • Understanding of ETL, data validation and data quality processes
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps for user story management
  • Experience supporting Agile development lifecycle
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft cloud technologies and integrations
  • Familiarity with Power Platform
  • Knowledge of SDLC methodologies and system implementation
  • Understanding of accessibility standards including AODA
  • Awareness of emerging IT trends and data technologies
